Got to knitting right away with this beautiful yarn...Aran pullover for my daughter. This yarn is so nice with amazing stitch definition and soft feel. The color is lovely and was so happy to see the yarn is available in a shade that my daughter requested. Best of all, just starting 3rd skein, and no knots! Very pleased and thank you for offering yarn that is grown and produced in the USA.
I am using this yarn for a colorwork sweater that I am crocheting. The yarn is so nice and easy to work with. It doesn't split or untwist. I haven't come across any knots. The colors are true to what was photographed on the website.
100% wool, easy to work with, vivid color, all for a good price. I crochet and this wool rarely splits on me. I would reccomend it. I've already worked up a nice blanket with it. Stiches look really good. It's a really beautiful deep blue (Liberty).
I have made several projects with good results, the yarn is very predictable in my felted objects and combines well with the Fisherman’s yarn. The picture is of a baby hat, the parents loved it.
It's so soft and warm. Fun to knit and crochet! I've knit two adult sweaters and I'm currently crocheting a blanket. I definitely will buy more as I continue to use up my supply! Washes up nicely! Shrinks about 2 inches when put in the dryer.
Beautiful sweaters! We do recommend being cautious with machine drying Local Grown wool, as it's not superwash treated and can felt if it's agitated too much.
I am a big fan of wool, so I was thrilled to find out that Lion has a USA grown/made wool yarn!!! I was so excited that I decided to make a granny square blanket with it and I am currently working on doing that very thing! I am making good progress on the blanket and can’t wait for it to be big enough to go on my bed!!! I am attaching photos of my progress and used my 6ft husband to model in the one photo. The wool is great quality and works up very easily. The variety of colors is better than I expected also!!! This wool yarn is perfect!!!
