This is the worst circular needle. I've always bought Boye or Clover Takumi, but gave this budget friendly needle a chance, and I totally regret it. The needles are fine, but instead of being attached to a cable, they're attached to a hollow tube. The yarn stuck to it, so I couldn't slide the loops down while working a row. In the end, I did get what I paid for, a cheap product. However, based on the previous reviews that were positive, I guess everyone else is a better knitter and could work with it?
These needles don't catch the yarn and are very well attached at the cable. I haven't had any worries of breaking them, either. I think they are better than Takumi.
I love my new Bamboo Needles.!
I Like the tips, they feel very nice in the hands and are smooth, but I don't like the cable. It is almost as thick as the needles and every wool brand I have tried sticks on it and I can't get the stitches to slide. I haven't been able to use it yet because I haven't found a yarn that slides on it.
Hi Katherine - thank you for your feedback, and our apologies for the stickiness! We suggest washing just the cord with a little bit of dish soap, which may help to remove anything on the surface of the cord.
This size works well for hats and shawls made in fine to medium size yarn. They are a great addition to my needle collection.
This 16" size 6 needle is perfect for hats, baby clothes, etc. The bamboo is smooth and comfortable to work with
