Penelope is a knitted chainette that magically turns into a sock weight by simply unravelling the thread. This 75% wool/ 25% polyamide is perfect for socks, shawls and fingerless gloves. The magical colorations have a hand dyed quality to them - one hank makes an adult pair of socks.

I ove this yarn so much; I'm sorry that I did not discover it until it was discontinued. However, I am so happy that I was able to purchase some before it was completely gone.
The way that it unravels from the chain (into a sock weight) is truly genius, as it prevents tangling, snagging, etc.
I bought this (and Superwash Merino) to make the Lynx Shawl after seeing the pattern, not really knowing what to expect, and I also bought a different color to make socks.
I prefer to work with thinner, natural fiber yarns, and I really love "sock" weight. This yarn is so, so easy to work with. I'm excited to finish the shawl and wear it! (And also the socks--but the shawl is first!)
Fine fingering woolen yarn. I just broke into the “knit skein” and it’s working up fine! I only have four rows done in stockinette stitch right now. Really not much to look at at the moment being I’m using toothpick needles to make a long journey of a scarf in the end ;)
I’m new to sock knitting and this yarn is perfect for me as a beginner. I love the color ways, the weight, and the easy pull while knitting that lets me keep moving. I have found no tangles or breaks and no knots! I also appreciate the 75% wool composition 25% polyamide.
Beautiful colorful yarn!!! Easy to crochet for small project, plus high wool content!

They take some getting used to, but I like them! I don't get knotted messes and the yarn flows easily as I work. Took some time to figure out the tension songs the yarn is curly. The scarf is laying flat though and I'm excited to finish!
