LB Collection® Merino Camel Yarn

SKU: 461-174

$7.99

Merino is the cashmere of wool breeds: prized for its softness and warmth. Camel, often associated with luxurious menswear, is one of the finest noble fibers, embraced for its lustrous, smooth hairs that create luxurious yarns that are warm, yet lightweight. Lion Brand’s Merino Camel is a blend of both: the merino provides buoyancy and stitch definition, while the camel give each project silkiness and drape.

I needed more yarn

I ordered two skeins of Merino Camel Yarn in the olive color. Then decided I would need more. Called Customer Service to discuss the dye lot number and she assured me that more yarn would be in that lot. Sure enough, the yarn arrived today and it is the same dye lot and I am very pleased. She was very helpful in emailing me right back to get me the right yarn. Thank you very much for your Customer Service.

Gorgeous Yarn

I bought this as a part of a kit to make a hat and I am so glad I did! The quality of the yarn is great and I love how soft it feels when worn. The light weight nature of this yarn makes the final product feel silky yet warm and I know my hat will hold up well. I only wish they had more colors!

Patterns please

On my final trip to the now closed LB yarn Studio, I purchased 4 balls of this yarn in 2 different colors. I am surprised that there are no patterns for this beautiful yarn on your website. Please make some suggestions.
Thank you.

Hi Devora - we do have three kits calling for this yarn, but you could also use it in most any pattern calling for a #2 sport/fine weight yarn. Make sure to swatch first, of course!

Good Buy

Bought this as part of a kit and wasn't disappointed. The colors are beautiful, the yarn is soft and fairly easy to work with. I only have two gripes with this particular product. Firstly, it can be very to split while you're knitting with it. Secondly, it unravels/untwists easily. These two factors at times made my project rather annoying, but in all, I love the yarn and would buy it again. However, I do wish that it came in more (vibrant) colors. The ones they have now are really gorgeous, but I'd like to see a brighter/more true red and paler blues and maybe some light pinks.

Hi Nichole - if you find that the yarn is untwisting while you work with it, try starting from the other end of the ball. That should mean that the twist in the yarn is going with the direction you wrap the yarn around the hook/needle, rather than trying to twist against it.
