Herdwick Dell hat error

I've made several of these hats knitting flat and they've all been fine. With one exception. On row 9 I always need up with 24 st, NOT 18. Weird. My work around is to work row 10 as K1, K2tog repeat to the end. You should have 18 st. Work row 11 as instructed. Hope this is helpful

I just finished this set and it was straight forward and easy to follow. One review above mentions a problem with row 9, but if you look carefully the star repeat does not include the K1. The star begins with P2tog and is repeated to the end of the row. This way the pattern works out right (18 stitches) with a K1 just at the beginning of the row and K1 at the end. I mistakenly did it the first time with K1, P2tog all across the row and ended up with 24 stitches. Then I noticed the placement of the star repeat and then it worked just fine.
