Knit Kit - Sunbeam Pullover

SKU: B71341

Let the sunshine in. Named after the rays of the sun, the Sunbeam Pullover is a seamless top-down yoke that is designed with 2.5-5 inches of positive ease in mind. Though this piece is based on a bed of purls with slipped stitches adorning its yoke, this piece is mostly knit inside out (so you don’t have to purl everything – you’re welcome!). Simple and elegant, it can be dressed down with some ripped jeans and short booties or dressed up to wear out to dinner.

So Pretty

I so enjoyed knitting this project. It was my second knitting-from-a-recipe project and I had to look up several of the steps on YouTube. I learned so many skills and the folded collar is a new favorite. I also learned how to switch from knitting right side out to wrong side out. I did have an issue with the size. I had to knit the shirt using the medium size counts and the measurements afterwards were smaller than the XS??? I pinch the yarn in my left hand and use my left index finger to hold the yarn and then use the right knitting needle to pick up the yarn. I am learning that there are different ways of knitting and some leave the yarn hanging and then loosely lay it over the right knitting needle. I don't knit tight but it did make a difference in the size knitting it my way. I'm still learning but this project was a great way to learn new skills and I'm a huge fan of Knitatude.

I have done a couple kits from Knitatude and loved the ease of pattern and Lion Brand yarn that went with it. Can’t wait to start this one.

So much fun to knit

Chantal sure thinks outside the box. You start this sweater with the neckband. Then the yoke is worked off of it and away you go! So much fun to do things differently. She also has links to videos showing how to accomplish stitches that may be new to someone. I also noticed she spelled everything out, so not hard if you aren't all that experienced. But mostly it is fun. And what a pretty end result!
