Love this yarn! But color descriptions could use an update.

This yarn is gorgeous, easy to crochet with, and very soft/plush. I am making a men's sweater for my SO in Mount Rainier Tweed, and it is working up exactly as I pictured! The only thing I would change is the color description on the website. It currently lists this color as "medium and light gray blend with flecks of red, turquoise, and mustard", and as you can see from the attached photos, there are many more colors of tweed flecks in this yarn. I can see red, orange, yellow, mustard, lime green, kelly green, forest green, blue, teal, lavender, pale pink, fuschia, and even a few dark grey spots. I ordered 12 skeins and they are all like this (they are all from the same dye lot). I want to clarify that I am super pleased with this! This is exactly what I wanted, as this is what I saw in person when I discovered this yarn. I ended up ordering online because I was never able to find 12 skeins in-store. I was a little concerned that the yarn I was buying online was not going to be what I saw in store.

Regardless, I am super happy with this yarn and I will be buying more in another color to make a sweater for myself! (Pattern by the way is the Winter Wonder Cable Pullover from MJ's Off the Hook Designs.)

lovely yarn

I bought this yarn along with Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling to make a skirt for a friend. I loved the heathered look of the colors, especially the brighter ones like the pink (Lassen Volcanic) that I got. Both colors I got have a slight sheen to them, which makes them look very beautiful. I really like working with this yarn too, because it doesn't feel super rough or scratchy unlike a lot of acrylic yarns. This yarn does have a slight halo to it, which I'm not usually a fan of, but that's a personal preference thing. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of the yarn itself.

My only complaint is that some of the colors look very different in person, but I'm not sure if it's just the dye lot I got. I feel like Channel Islands turned out a lot less saturated and green in person, and looks more like a very light mint. Luckily it looks fine with the other colors I picked, but I do wish it had been more green. Other than that, this yarn is great!

Love Heartland yarn

The quality of Heartland yarn is consistently great. I love working with it and the items I make are always well-received when I use it. I was surprised, however, by the actual color of the Congaree yarn - it’s more of a grayish-green than what is pictured and described. The scarf I made using it is still beautiful and perfect for a man.

Great Yarn

I purchased several skeins of Heartland yarn to make a crochet temperature blanket. I am enjoying this yarn tremendously. It is very soft and is stitching up very nicely for my blanket. Beautiful colors and is a joy to work with!

Heartland is my favorite yarn

The vibrant depth of colors of Heartland yarn make up into a beautiful project. I have completed one blanket and am working on two more. It is a joy to work with.

I adore the Heartland brand yarn

I adore the Heartland brand yarn and will upload an image of the blanket as soon as I'm finished. That said, it took far too long for my order to ship both times I ordered directly from Lion Brand. I ordered Heartland from Michaels once and Mary Maxim twice, weeks after placing my order with Lion Brand, and received all orders before Lion Brand shipped. If Lion Brand doesn't have the product on hand to ship, the customer should know before ordering. I do love the yarn, but will look for it elsewhere so that time sensitive projects aren't delayed. The following is the blanket before I started joining.
