Disappointed with instructions

I have done a lot of colorwork in crochet - intarsia, mosaic, tapestry - but this just does not look good to me as it is done flat. and on both sides. So I will finish the dish towel in black and white, and then cross-stitch the "Fold in the Cheese" on to it.
