warm sweater!

This was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a 100% wool sweater at a reasonable cost. Worked up easily and quickly!

Really does felt!

Unlike most white yarns this one DOES felt,

Felted Fisherman's Wool Hat

I was a little (okay maybe a lot) concerned to try crocheting my first felted hat. It was really easy. I went online and ordered Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool Birch Tweed and it crocheted beautifully. Easy to work with; no unexpected knots; tight enough twist that my hook went where it was supposed to and did not split the yarn. True to the advertising it felted beautifully. I also purchased Fisherman's Wool Brown Heather and I'm going to knit a floppy brim hat. Would definitely recommend for the beginner or advanced crafter.

yummy yarn!

I've been buying this yarn for years, lost a resource for a few years and am so glad to find one again. I love the yarn because of its
feel (so soft!) and how much there is on a skein. It's a great value, and when I find a sale I gobble it up. I do a lot of knitting and
felting (fulling) of bags and I've done several with the darker yarns but now I'm about to try some dyeing - primarily indigo, hand-
painting, and ice-dyeing - on the white yarn. This yarn felts beautifully and I'm looking forward to creating my own custom dye
colors and knitting with them.

Perfect

This Wood is very perfect for work it. I make boiled wool sleepers with it. The result made great gifts. I just would like more colours.

Hi Nicole - what nice slippers! Fishermen's Wool is only available in undyed sheep shades, but for a more colorful wool we suggest our new Local Grown yarn.

So great to work with!

I'm about 75% done with my first project using this yarn: a duster/cardigan. The yarn holds so well, the pattern is excellently defined, and easy to work with for a fairly new beginner to crochet. It is rough, not like merino. But even right on my skin, not really too itchy...some people would be really sensitive to it. BUT, it is so squishy and full feeling...it's going to be a really cozy duster when cold temps return.
