Fisherman’s Wool

This is one of my favorite yarns. It is reliable, predictable, and holds up well over the years. I also love the natural colors.

I made a warm cap and scarf for my husband with the brown heather and he said it really kept him warm. It is a little scratchy but it’s wool. It does have nice stitch definition too.

I love this yarn. I make a lot of crocheted slippers and use this yarn for the soles. I use the Plymouth Galway wool for the tops of the slippers because of the pretty colors. They both felt beautifully.
Great quality yarn, you won’t be sorry if you’re looking for a great felting yarn.

I am knitting with the oatmeal and the natural yarn held double to make a king size blanket. I finished knitting one blanket using this yarn and hubby loved it so much he went and bought me more. The yarn is a little scratchy/itchy so wearing next to skin is out for me but it is squishy when held double and has great yardage for being 100% wool. The yarn is a light worsted weight. I like the stitch definition this yarn has, shows cables beautifully. I don't know how well this crochets or anything about the other colors in this line.
