I purchased a bundle of yarn in the Crochet Kit- Lullaby Baby blanket pattern. This is my first time following a pattern for a blanket, and it was very easy to understand and follow along. I made this as a gift for my best friend who’s pregnant with her first baby and I’m sure she’s gonna love it. When doing the border, I added extra single crochet’s, and double crochet’s to give it a wavy texture, and I absolutely love it. The yarn is so soft!! I would definitely recommend this yarn and blanket pattern, and will purchase again!
I’ve made a few blankets with this yarn now, using both tradition and Tunisian crochet. It’s soft and easy to care for. I wouldn’t choose it for a project where I want great stitch definition, but sometimes that’s a positive. In those cases, this is yarn ideal and my recipients appreciate the lightweight, soft warmth of the blankets. I only ran across one or two knots per skein and dealt with them. At this price point nothing to complain about.
This yarn lives up to its name and is so soft and smooth to the touch. The center pull was really easy for me to find in this yarn compared to other yarns and I did not have any problems with knots or splitting. I am working on a baby blanket and this yarn is perfect in its colors and feel. I will say though as a beginner, I felt it was harder for me to handle this yarn than other yarns I have worked with so far (which have all been acrylic or wool/acrylic mix). I had a hard time controlling my tension. This yarn is also thinner than other worsted weight yarns I have worked with.
Made a beanie with it. Heard complaints of knots and the thread splitting, but had no such issues. The yarn is extremely soft and smooth to touch. However, it felt closer to a Weight 3 yarn than 4. Definitely buying again though.
I bought 3 skeins of this yarn in Cocoa and loved it! Halfway through my project I realized I would need more. The new yarn was not even close to the original. I understand color variation ( different dye lot), but the texture was completely different and definitely did not " feel like butter". It was not soft at all and thinner that the original. The original yarn I purchased was from China and second order came from Turkey. Maybe that is why it felt so different.
