My measurements are way different when knitting the shawl. I definitely need 2 balls. Not sure why there is such a great difference since I tend to be a tight knitter.

Hi Crystal - if you're a tight knitter than you may want to go up a needle size to make sure that your shawl is the same measurements as those listed in the pattern. Also, remember that those measurements are given after blocking, which can make a big difference in a lace shawl like this!
