Not what I was expecting

I made 2 octopuses with 3 balls it was hard for me to work with. They don't glow all that great even after charging them.

Not as expected

It does glow in the dark. It is not bright compared to the stars you glue on the ceiling. The colour is duller than the Lionbrand photo.

It is not a 6-super bulky. It is 12 wpi, more a 4 worsted. The chenille is flat not fully round, and coarser than a blanket yarn. It knits up well, but drags. Cast on/off loosely as it is not stretchy due to the coarseness of the yarn. On a 8 mm needle it has holes in it. On a 5 mm needle it is solid but drags while knitting, a smaller needle would be difficult. There is not a lot on a ball, so I would only use it as a stripe or trim in a hat. Too coarse for mitts or anything against the skin.

I live in Canada near the Rocky Mountains and it gets to -35 deg C. I bought this to make toques, as my husband walks our dog at night and the grandchildren walk to and from school in the dark or dusk in winter. I tried it as a bulky but this did not work. I will try it again in a worsted weight pattern.

Fun novelty yarn

I used this to knit a glow scrunchie...very unique and did indeed glow if I held it over a light before going in the dark. Very soft and thick

Amazing

This yarn is advertised as glowing. They weren't kidding! It glows so brite it actually lights up the surrounding areas. I made a couple of pairs of fingerless mitts with it. Girls love them!
