I do not care for crocheting with vel-luxe and I never would have bought it again but my daughter asked for a throw so I did some digging and there were women on-line with good suggestions (needle sizes & tension) and I find it easier to work with but more tedious BUT as long as my daughter likes it (and I know she will, she loves the feel of velvet) and this is probably the last I will use it. I have read other reviews and they love it but I am not a fan.
