Crochet Kit - Quietwork Tideline Blanket

SKU: B72915

Quietwork is the practice of letting your hands do something gentle while the rest of you settles. This blanket is the first pattern in that practice — a single square worked outward from the center, growing one breath at a time.

It's a mandala, not a blanket.

It's on me for not reading that this is a string yarn pattern. That being said, this is by no means a blanket. It works up at 36 inches, but it's a thin as a saltine cracker and rather cord-like in feel. No warmth, no comfort, no coverage. The pattern urges you to cut and tie off at every round even though you don't need to at all, just so you can mentally reset and take breaks... Sorry, but who wants to weave in all those ends for 'mediation' sake?? Yet another reason this should have been marketed as a mandala - I wouldn't even pretend this us a baby blanket or a square shawl. I did order the colorway shown in the main image.

Relaxing

I found the kit relaxing to work up while watching video lectures for my college class!
