Great project for "On-the-Go"

I am a novice at crocheting and this kit was a perfect way for me to expand my beginner skills and yet make a beautiful blanket. The directions are clear, simple and easy to memorize. This project is ideal for taking along when waiting for appointments, weekend travel, etc. because you make each square separately and don't have to carry a bulky blanket everywhere you go. I enjoyed making the squares in stages, crocheting first several of the center floral sections, and then adding the white border later. This helped me to memorize the pattern as well. The colored, variegated yarns are beautiful, and no 2 squares are alike! I am having some difficulty working with the white yarn because it is made up of multiple threads; you have to be very careful not to put your hook through the individual strands of the yarn, so I've had to go slowly and sometimes pull out my work because of the loosely entwined cotton threads making up the white yarn. The final effect is worth the trouble however, and this will be a beautiful blanket when its done!

Dissatisfied

I was dissapointed in this kit. I found the yarn very difficult to work with, especially the white. It unravels continuously especially when doing triple crochet stitch.

Hello Sharlene - we're sorry you had trouble with this yarn! Coboo can be a little bit splitty as it's a plant fiber yarn, so we suggest a crochet hook with a blunt tip for projects using this yarn.
