Crochet Kit - Flower Power Scarf

SKU: B72087

When I first set out to design a crochet flower scarf, I knew that I wanted to use a cotton blend with a bit of sheen. Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo is the perfect yarn for this project because of its softness and touch of shine. The repetitive nature of this project means you can pick it up and put it down easily without losing your place. And the best part? No seaming!

Pattern Designer Information
My name is Vanessa Coscarelli Black and I’m a wife, mom, animal lover and knitwear designer residing in New Jersey. I come from a long line of various makers — tailors, shoemakers, chefs, painters, contractors. Most everyone in my family has some sort of skill that requires their hands (and I think that’s pretty great)! I started my career in finance and while I learned a ton during my time in the corporate environment, I knew that long term, it was not the right career path for me. With 20+ years of knitting/crochet experience under my belt, I slowly transitioned my hobby into my small business and never looked back.

Fun fun fun!!

This pattern worked up very quickly and was so much fun to make. My advice is to use a metal hook, as the fibers catch quite easily. I had to keep ripping out so many times because of snags and catches. Once I put my wood hook down and started using my metal hook, it went much smoother. I crocheted all the centers first while I was on a long car ride (I was the passenger...lol), and it was nice to have those already made when it came time to start on the flowers. I weaved in the ends as I completed each flower, so that when I was done, I only had two ends to weave in.
