Crochet Kit - Fiesta Picnic Blanket

SKU: B72467

The colorful Fiesta Blanket is perfect for your home, beach, or picnic with it’s festive look and
the soft yet durable stitching! No worries about laying it on the grass – stains won’t show up
with all that color, and it can be machine washed. The slight variation on the granny stitch
makes for smaller holes and a lofty texture. There are no color changes needed with the self
striping yarn. Pick your favorite colorway and make this gorgeous summer throw!

A bright Boho gem!

I was drawn to the colors in this kit for the Fiesta Picnic Blanket and made the kit just as pictured with Landscapes in the Boardwalk color. Beautiful to look at but I was somewhat surprised that the colors weren't as evenly blended like the picture. I emailed Jessica Potasz to see if I was supposed to manipulate the yarn for color placement and she very kindly answered saying she just used one skein after another and that's how it turns out. So sweet-and I was happy to continue on. It really is a wild lapghan for my Wild cousin-I added more rows to it. The only word of caution--I worked on it in the car as we traveled and the fuzzies were all over my black pant legs like I had a psychedelic cat !! The finished surface is kind of fuzzy but the granny stitch made it a breeze to work on. I'm fairly new to crocheting but this was a real confidence booster.

The yarn is hard to wirk with. The kit called it a picnic blanket. Maybe for a baby. 33" by 40" is a picnic blanket. The yarn sheds. The color is not as bright as the picture. It is pretty, but it is on the dark side.
