Cover Story is the super bulky (CYC 6) chenille that you’ve been looking for. It comes in a range of sophisticated neutrals and multi-colors. Enjoy its rich, velvety texture as you create plush afghans and cozy accessories. This yarn works up fast, and with plenty of yardage in each 1000g cake – enough to knit a 48" x 52" blankie! – you’ll have fewer ends to weave in after stitching your projects. 100% polyester plus machine wash and dry makes Cover Story all-ages friendly.

Knots

I love the feel of the yarn. I knitted a very nice blanket for the couch. Unfortunately, there were knots that were randomly in the skein. That is frustrating. I didn’t take the knots apart because I was worried that my knots would not stay together.

Hi Julie - for a yarn ball the size of Cover Story we typically allow up to 4 knots per ball before it's considered a quality control issue. If you come across more than that, please email us at support@email.lionbrand.com. We do recommend cutting out or untying any knots and treating the ends as if you're joining a new ball of yarn, because knots may come undone in washing or use.

Great amount of yarn

Was looking for a biiiig ol skein of blanket yarn and this really did the trick. It's so soft and easy to work with, and a great amount of yarn for the cost. Big ol pillow for the kiddo, here we come!

Love!

I love this yarn and I can not wait to use up the rest of my cakes ASAP! So soft and works up quickly!

Luxurious but washable!

I’ve used cover story three times now, and I have several cakes to crochet up in time for the holidays. They are easy, quick and squishy soft! I use a simple half- double crochet alternating front loop back loop technique that allows the piece to be flexible and soft using a P hook. The knots are not an issue, but there are several. I just pull them tight and after washing I snip any ends that might stick out. I’m a slow poke and I can get one cake made in three days complete with a wash.

1st time loom knitting a blanket.

I used Jasper and and Snow to knit a queen size blanket. I love the colors. The yarn is easy to work with and super soft. The blanket is very heavy and warm. I've already started another one. Just an observation, the Snow doesn't have nearly as much give as the Jasper.
