I started working on a blanket for my mom for her birthday next month and I just love the beautiful marble effect it gives to my moss blanket pattern.
I wanted to try this out because I normally use Bernat blanket yarn for this pattern but I saw this yarn on a YouTube short from life and yarn and I loved how her blanket she made with this yarn looked so I thought I’d give it a try and I highly recommend it.
I did have to buy 6 skeins because the yardage isn’t as much but it’s okay. I just love this stuff.
The tartan color option reminds me of Burberry plaid so I just had to try it. With two skeins, I made a sleeveless cardigan including some other yarn for the trim, and then a matching hat and used the rest for a circular cowl. Gotta get more (try a different color) to make an actual sweater. It would be fabulous for a throw/blanket/etc.
This yarn was fun to work with and is great for certain applications. As others have stated it is super soft and you don't really see the stitches. I had to work more by feel, but also if mistakes are made, they are not really visible. On the flip side, if you did make a mistake and could see it, this yarn pulled apart super easy. I made the Pine Mountain Blanket in Pebble Beach and it will be perfect for my outdoor living space during the colder weather.
I love this yarn! It’s very soft. It is a little difficult to see the rows, and I’ve had to work by “feel,” which is a double-edged sword because mistakes are not noticeable. 😊. I will definitely purchase this yarn again.
This was my first time using this yarn. It was so soft and worked up a pretty quick blanket for my mom. I bought 6 skeins of pebble and made a blanket for my mom. I think I’m going to buy 1 or 2 more skeins, I’d like the blanket to be a tad longer. I used a 9.0 hook and moss stitch. I’d buy this yarn again!
I’m making my son a cozy blanket with the camo color. He’s going to love it.
