First time using a bamboo hook

This was my first time using a bamboo hook and also my first time doing tunisian crochet. I used the bamboo hook when I did my gauge swatch, but I didn't feel like I had good control. In all fairness, this could be because I was using a new hook while performing a new stitch. I was following along with a tutorial by Toni (TLY Crafts) and she was using a metal hook that seemed to have a sharper end so I ended up ordering me a set of those and I'm not getting my rhythm. I do plan to try the bamboo hooks again once I have some good practice with the Tunisian crochet.

Smooth and well made

My first tunisian hook! Was a bit cautious about the quality of the bamboo, but pleasantly surprised at the quality and workmanship. Well worth the price.

My first bamboo hook

I’m used to metal hooks so this is taking some
Getting used to. But I’m brand new to Tunisian crochet so I wanted something less slippy. It does the job I was hoping for

Learning Curve

My favorite corded needles have always been from Knit Picks. When I needed corded Tunisian hooks, these were the only ones I could find in my budget that were long enough. They're great needles, but there is definitely a learning curve to how they handle. They swivel a bit for mobility, but as a Tunisian novice, I've also had a hard time keeping all my stitches on the hook. Overall not bad, but you may need time to get used to them!

Love the swivel

I love the swivel part of this hook. It's my first tunisian hook purchase. I like using the wire instead of the straight long hook. I do find it hard to grab the yarn with this head. Maybe it needs to be pointier? Or I just need more practice!
