This tree skirt starts with a chunky three-strand cable braid worked as one long band — the part that wraps your tree and gives the skirt its dressed-up edge.
From there you pick up along the band and work inward, and eight clean spokes fan out as you decrease to the center. It lies flat, it’s all one piece with no seaming, and the back stays open so it slips right around the trunk.
Make it in the Small for a tabletop or slim tree, or the Large for a full-size floor tree. In super bulky yarn on big needles, it’s a genuinely quick make — a weekend project that looks like it took much longer.
