Cable Braid Christmas Tree Skirt (Crochet)

This tree skirt starts with a chunky three-strand cable braid, worked in post stitches as one long band. That band wraps your tree and gives the skirt its dressed-up edge.
From there you pick up right along the band without fastening off and work inward in half double crochet. Eight raised spokes fan out toward the center, each framed by a pair of mirrored decreases, just like the knit version. It lies flat, it’s all one piece with no seaming, and the back stays open so it slips right around the trunk.
Make the Small for a tabletop or slim tree, or the Large for a full-size floor tree. In super bulky yarn on a 10 mm hook, it’s a quick make that looks like it took much longer. Video tutorials included.
