This pattern was first published in Homespun Magazine. The Beachside Sunhat offers wonderful shade for those sunny summer days. From walking on the beach, working in the garden, or spending time outdoors with family anbd friends, it's the perfect hat for almost any summer activity.
This is an easy crochet pattern that works up quickly with 2 skeins of Lion Brand Rewind Tape yarn. The pattern can be made in a Woman's Medium and Woman's Large. The pattern is written in English using US Standard Crochet Terms. This is a digital pdf pattern that can be downloaded after purchase.
Woman’s Medium: In the pattern, with a I/5.5 mm hook, the piece should measure approximately 3” across at the end of Round 4
Woman’s Large: In the pattern, with a J/5.75 mm hook, the piece should measure approximately 3.25” - 3.5” across at the end of Round 4
Woman’s Medium: will fit a 22” - 23” head circumference
Woman's Large: will fit a 23” - 24” head circumference

Easy to make. Clear instructions. Had fun making 2 hats.
This cute pattern was easily rendered with clear instructions and great choice of yarn. I did combine a second color to stretch my one skein of main color and like the effect… like a hat band. I also added a few more increases because of my big head🤗 and got a slightly more floppy brim. It’s comfy and shady!
I'm looking forward to crocheting this hat for my next summer vacation!!!

Pattern is easy to understand and follow. love the fact she tells you how to make each stitch and doesn't just assume you know how to do the stitch. The pictures are also very helpful.
While buckets hats are generally cute, this bucket hat has cuteness to spare!! It knitted up easily in Rewind Yarn (so soft and lightweight), fits perfectly, and keeps the sun off my ears and nose, all- the-while maintaining its "cute and fun" vibe. It's now my go-to Spring, Summer, and Fall hat. Maybe Winter, too!!
