Love this yarn for Amigurumi. The chained construction eliminates splitting for inexperienced crocheters. The cotton feels smooth & soft on fingers when crocheting, but creates a stiff construction for display-type Amigurumi. Although its listed as a worsted weight (4), its thinner than typical worsted yarns (like woobkes easy peasy). I'd recommed for beginners looking to move towards more detailed project with thinner yarns, but hesitant to try a DK or sports weight. It holds itself well when pulling tight after each stitch but doesnt damage the yarn if you need to frog a few rounds. The stitches are really easy to see which is good for learning to crochet, but it will show mistakes easily (also good for learning unless you don't notice right away). No pilling or loose threads either. Would love if this was more readily available (in more colors) in the US.
Photo shows WIP, green yarn is Lion 24/7 Cotton. Purple is random no-name yarn from a kit. You can see the difference in stitch definition & how the (purple) is starting to pill.
I intentionally used the 'pilly' yarn to differentiate the 'clothes' from the 'doll'. "Green Color Super-Friend" is supposed to have "tattery" shorts. It really highlights the huge difference between the Lion 24/7 Cotton & the no-name typical yarn.
