Knitting: Cable: Frosted Edge

Stitch Explanation 3-st RC: Sl 2 sts to cn and hold to back, k1, k2 from cn. 
3-st LC: Sl 1 st to cn and hold to front, k2, k1 from cn 

Pattern: 
Row 1 (RS)
 Knit. 
Rows 2 and 4 Purl. 
Row 3 Sl 2 sts to cn and hold to back, k1, k2 from cn., Sl 1 st to cn and hold to front, k2, k1 from cn. 
Row 5 Knit. 
Row 6 Rep row 2.
Rep rows 1–6.

Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 6 stitches. In the example shown, there is one repeat of the stitch with 12 stitches are on either side, so you'd need to cast on 30 (12 + 6 + 12) stitches and knit 12 stitches before and after the cable pattern to get a piece like that shown.
