Stitchfinder: Crochet Trim: Curlicue Fringe

Skill level: Challenging/complex 

Using yarn A, make a foundation chain of the required length, or work row 1 directly into the item to be trimmed with right side facing. (multiple of 4 stitches + 1) 

Row 1: (A) 1 ch, 1 sc in each chain to 
end, turn. 
Row 2: (A) 2 ch, 1 hdc in each st to 
end, turn. 
Row 3: (A) As row 2. Fasten off, turn. 
Row 4: (B) 1 ch, *3 sc, ^9 ch, 4 sc in 3rd ch from hook, (4 sc in next ch) 6 times, 1 sl st in last sc worked on fringe header ^, rep from ^ to ^ once, rep from * to end. 
Fasten off.
