Perfect summer yarn

I really like the blend of cotton and linen. Crisp, cool with excellent stitch definition. In fact, will be suggesting this yarn for a design (tee/tunic) I’ m publishing in 2025! Photo is a sneak peek at the project.

Great Colour & Texture

I can’t wait to wear the summer tunic I’m making. Such a wonderful combo of textiles and colour.

My first Intermediate crochet project

I purchased the crochet kit "Charlotte Circle Wrap" using Touch of Linen yarn in Slate. The pattern is very well-written. For me, the challenging part was correctly reading the pattern and keeping count of my stitches. I opted to use Lion Branch 24/7 cotton in Grass, Goldenrod, and Beets for the 'window' rows, and I finished off the project with a row of single crochet. I would purchase another pattern created by Life and Yarn (Brianna Iaropoli).

Crochet Cardigan Coat

I found the pattern for this on Lion Brand website. However, the pattern was for A Touch of Alpaca, but as I find wool yarns a bit itchy, I subsituted with A Touch of Linen. It is perfect for this cardigan, and easy to use. It is a bit rough to touch and actually slightly itchy on my bare arms, and I wouldn't use it for anything that I would wear directly on my skin. However, it is quite easy to work with, doesn't split a lot, and if it does split, it is easy to pick up on and re-work the stitch before going too far. It holds the stitches well and the coat hangs well without stretching, even though it's quite heavy. A note about the pattern: I purchased way too many balls of yarn. The amount of yarn I needed based on the pattern specs for a small jacket was 12 balls. I used less than 7 1/2.

Beautiful texture and color

This yarn is an instant favorite. It softens up and revives its shape after washing. I am in love with the dijon color! The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to really watch how you handle it as you work as it stretches out very easily. I am hoping the colors are back in stock soon! Looking forward to working with this for home goods and warm weather clothing items.

Love this yarn

I read negative reviews about this yarn and was unsure whether to buy it or not. And I don't regret the purchase at all. The yarn is light, with good stitch sefinition, soft, so it does not puff up, which is important for women of +size. This yarn is now one of my favorites. I think the negative reviews are based on the fact that people haven't done the research on flax.
P.S. My unfinished project. Do not judge strictly 😊
