Not really beginner friendly

The pattern works up quick. The issues I had was the wording with the triangles. I had to find a tutorial to be able to them. So the assumption is that you are more than a beginner. I really love the look of the jacket. I can't figure out how to put it together. The directions make zero sense to me. So all my granny squares are sitting in a project bag till I decide what to do with them. I might just put them together with a whip stitch to see how it goes or just make a short afgan with them. Really disappointed with not understanding the directions to put this together. I am more than a beginner too. I have worked up shirts & other wearables.
