No animals were harmed in creating Go for Faux, a super bulky, 100% polyester yarn designed to mimic the softness and fluff of real fur. This plush chunky yarn is ideal for cozy scarves, throw blankets, pet beds, and luxurious home décor. Its thick, high-pile texture works up quickly for bold, stylish knit and crochet creations. Machine washable but should be laid flat to dry to maintain its fur-like appearance.

4th skein tied together

I wrote a review earlier mentioning that the skeins I ordered and worked on making a hat either half way through in this case the skein I’m working on is 3/4 of the way through has been broken and then tied together. I gave it a 3 star only because I like the yarn except for every skein that I ordered were defective.

Hi Sheila - our apologies for any knots in your yarn! Occasionally the mill will need to join a new strand in as the yarn is being wound, or the equipment will cause a small imperfection to occur. We recommend cutting out any knots and leaving a 4-6' tail to weave in later. If you come across more than 3 knots in a single skein please contact our quality control team at support@email.lionbrand.com and we can help.

So soft and doesn’t shed!

Made a sweet little soft baby blanket with the pink. So snuggly soft. Can’t wait to make another!

Go for Faux

I have had one defective skein. I had to cut out a defective section in the skein. I have purchased several skeins and I have not had this happen before. Otherwise I have really enjoyed the Go for Faux it makes great projects for kids. Tip: you can not see your stitches because of the fur so you will need to feel the stitches. It isn't hard with a little practice.

The most amazing therapeutic blankets ever!

I originally ordered this yarn to use it for amigurumi, hats, cowls, scarfs, borders, ect. Then LB had a buy 6 for $12. I knew for a big blanket I'd need around 25 skeins. So I got like 100 skeins or so. I ended up making 4 blankets. Not throws. They fit my King sized bed. I gave 1 to my daughter, 1 to my adopted daughter and I kept 2 for myself. That way in the winter I can wash one and have the other on my bed. Oh, btw I'm making blankets out of the huge LB faux fur and will post those soon! I wish it would've let me show you all my stuff I've made with this amazing yarn. But I had to be selective with the pics.

Fun

Made a Tote and wanted something different to make it stand out. This faux fur was just the perfect addition.

Super soft!

This yarn is great! I used it for the pink strip on the back of this crochet dragon.
