lp st = loop stitch
Loop Stitch (lp st) is a variation of single crochet (sc) and is worked on the wrong-side rows because the lps form at the back of the fabric.
Step 1 Using the index finger on the left hand to control the lp size (which should be approximately 1.5 inches), hold yarn over finger 1.5 inches behind work; insert the hook in st, hook both strands of lp just made, draw these strands through st.
Step 2 Wrap the supply yarn over the hook (yo).
Step 3 Draw through all lps on hook-1 lp st made.
