Round Yoke Poncho
Lion Brand® Amazing®
GAUGE: 12 sts + 8 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern stitch. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Body of Poncho is worked in rows beg at neck edge.
2. Stitch markers are used to indicate increase locations. Two sts are worked in each increase location when working every RS row. If you can 'read' your sts, you may not need to use markers.
3. Cuffs, front bands and collar are worked after body of Poncho is complete.
