Glitter Heart Pillow

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased.

NOTES:

1. Pillow is made from 2 heart-shaped pieces, sewn together and stuffed.
2. Each piece is worked from the lower tip to near the top of the piece. Near the top, each piece is divided into two halves. Each half is worked separately to shape top of Heart.
3. For best results, work tightly so that stuffing will not show between sts.

PILLOW (make 2)
Beginning at lower tip of Heart, ch 2.
Row 1 (RS): Work 2 sc in first ch.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in each sc across - 4 sc at the end of this row.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc to last sc, 2 sc in last sc - 6 sc at the end of this row.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Rows 6-37: Rep Rows 4 and 5 - 38 sc at the end of Row 37.
Shape First Side
Row 38: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 19 sc; leave remaining sts unworked.
Row 39: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each sc to last 2 sc, sc2tog - 17 sc at the end of this row.
Row 40: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Row 41: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each sc to last 2 sc, sc2tog -15 sc.
Row 42: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 43: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc in each sc to last 2 sc, sc2tog - 13 sc.
Rows 44-47: Rep Row 43 - 5 sc at the end of Row 47.
Fasten off.
Shape Second Side
Join yarn with sl st in first unworked st of Row 37.
Row 38: Ch 1, sc in each sc across - 19 sc.
Rep Rows 39-47.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
With WS together, join yarn with sl st in any st along outside edge. Working through both thicknesses, sc evenly around edges, stuffing Pillow with fiberfill as you work. Join with sl st in first sc.
Weave in ends.
