Fingerless Gloves
Lion Brand® Sock-EaseTM
GAUGE: 32 sts + 44 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in rev St st worked in rnds (purl every rnd). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Purl this new stitch through the back loop - 1 st increased.
1/1 LC (1 over 1 left cross) Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, k1 tbl, then k1 tbl from cable needle.
1/1 LPC (1 over 1 left purl cross) Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, p1, then k1 tbl from cable needle.
1/1 RPC (1 over 1 right purl cross) Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back, k1 tbl, then p1 from cable needle.
1/2 LC (1 over 2 left cross) Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, (k1 tbl) twice, then k1 tbl from cable needle.

NOTES: 1. Gloves are worked in the round, beginning at ribbed wrist edge.
2. Rnds 1-64 of Gloves can be worked from written instructions or by following charts. If working from charts, for both Gloves, follow Rnds 1-44 of chart, then follow Rnds 45-64 of specific Left Glove or Right Glove.
3. Follow Charts from right to left on every rnd.
4. Sts are increased to make the thumb gusset - a gusset creates the additional space needed for your finger.
5. All knit sts in the Small Cable pattern and the Ribbed Cable pattern are knit through the back loop (tbl).
