Napkin Rings
Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool®
GAUGE: 13 sc = about 4 in. (10 cm) before felting.
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook - 1 st decreased. |
NOTES: 1. Completed Leaves and Rings are lightly felted by hand.
2. Instructions are for a set of 6 Napkin Rings; materials are sufficient to make additional Napkin Rings.

Felting
Fill sink with hot water and small amount of liquid soap (hand or dish soap or even shampoo will work). Wearing rubber gloves, submerge Leaves and Rings in soapy water. Rub surface of knit fabric, working over entire surface until sts begin to lose their definition. Rinse gently to remove soap. Allow to dry.
With desired yarn color, embroider straight st leaf vein details on Leaves. Seam ends of Rings. Sew a Leaf to each Ring, over the seam.
