One-Piece Baby Pullover
Lion Brand® Baby Wool
GAUGE:
16 sts + 32 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Pullover is knit in one piece, beginning at the lower edge of the front, working over the shoulders, and ending at the lower edge of the back.

Beg at lower edge of front, cast on 40 (42, 46, 48, 52) sts.

Shape Sleeves
Sleeve Cast-On Row: Cast on 22 (26, 30, 42, 44) sts, k to end of row.

Shape Neck
Note: To create a stretchy, elastic neck that will slip easily over baby's head, it is important that you bind off and cast on very loosely at neck. We suggest you use a spare needle one or two sizes larger to bind off and cast on in next 2 rows, then change back to smaller needles to continue knitting the sweater. Neck Bind-Off Row: K31 (35, 40, 52, 55), bind off center 22 (24, 26, 28, 30) sts very loosely for neck, k to end of row - 31 (35, 40, 52, 55) sts on each side of neck. I have made these for every baby I know! Super easy, and if you follow the recommendation of making the neck a bit looser, you won't have any problems with the size. Love this!
