Stitch one Cable Trim Piece to the bottom of the Panel on your right, placing the side with 1 hdc closest to the panel. The side with 2 hdc is now the bottom edge.
Stitch the remaining Cable Trim Piece to the top of the Panel on your left, placing the side with 1 hdc closest to the panel. The side with 2 hdc in now the top edge.
Rotate the left Panel 90 degrees to the left. Line up the pieces so that the new bottom edge of the left Panel is even with the bottom edge of the right Panel. Stitch the pieces together where they meet.
Fold the right Panel so that the top right edge meets the top left edge of the left Panel. Stitch the pieces together where they meet.
Weave in all ends.

Curvy Girl Intertwined Poncho just need to adjust pattern a little :-) Reviewed by wanda baker on 2013-09-13 *****
Very nice design; I'm looking forward to cooler weather so I can wear this.
The pattern is pretty simple and elegant. I only ran into one problem - the directions for the trim pieces needs to be adjusted. Here's what I did

First two rows are the same.
Row 3 change - do not make the first hdc- go straight to skipping the 2 bpdc and finish row as described
Rows 4 and 6 as written in pattern.
Row 5 change - do not make the first hdc-go straight to fpdc in each of next 2 bpdc and finish row as described.

I found this was the only way to end up with a trim piece as described in the pattern - one edge has 1 hdc and the other side has 2 hdc.

Other than this adjustment, everything is going well.
This will be perfect for early fall football games and walking through fallen leaves.
