Cabildo Cowl

GAUGE:

9 sts + 12 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

COWL
Cast on 118 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join, being careful not to twist sts.
Rnds 1 and 2: *K1, p1; rep from * around.
Rnds 3 and 4: *P1, k1, rep from * around.
Rep Rnds 1-4 until piece measures 17 in. (43 cm) from beg. Bind off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I love the way this turned out. It took me about 4 days to make. It is nice, warm, and heavy. Great for the northwest weather. I love it so much that I am going to make myself another one. I wear it over blouses, t-shirts and my coat, very veristle.
