GAUGE:

16 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd) with larger needles.

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Dolce Fingerless Gloves Reviewed by Kim Mahar on 2012-12-31 *****
I loved this pattern! The current corrections work well. As you can see, they do come out with different stripes and patterns. I was OK with that and think they look great. I made a few changes. I wanted a more lacy finish, so I used PICOT BIND OFF. I also picked up 12 stitches around the thumb and worked in knit one - purl one for 4 rounds. I then used a PICOT BIND OFF for the thumb also. Can't wait to work up another pair.
