GAUGE:
5 blocks = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
WRISTER
Ch 37.
Row 1 (Set Up Row): 3 dc in 5th ch from hook (counts as 1 block), sk next 3 ch, *(sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch (block made), sk next 3 ch; rep from * across to last ch, sc in last ch – 8 blocks.
Row 2: Ch 4, turn, 3 dc in 4th ch from hook, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in each ch-3 space across to turning ch, sc in top of turning ch.
Rep last row until piece measures 3 1/2 (8 1/2, 9) in. (9 (22, 23) cm) from beginning. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew side edges together.
Weave in ends.
