GAUGE:
12 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd) with 2 strands of yarn held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

This was a fun project, and my first circular project. As a beginning knitter, I found the pattern instructions easy to follow. The knitting went so fast that before I knew it, I had made the bottom ribbing longer than called for, so I did the same on the other side (subtracting from the middle portion to acheive the same length.) Overall I am very happy with how it turned out, and ordered more Vineyard to make a matching earwarmer. I also plan to make more of these as gifts.
