Cable Lace Scarf and Cabled Bag

Lion Brand Vanna's Glamour®

GAUGE:

2 pattern reps + 5 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Scarf pattern, with 1 strand. 16 sts + 9 rnds = 4 in. (10 cm) in Bag pattern, with 2 strands held tog. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Cable Lace Scarf and Cabled Bag Reviewed by carmen bailey on 2013-06-01 *****
@ Dorothy, you can always make it longer / wider. Use a bigger hook; make beginning ch longer. I did. Gave it away as a present, so do not have a pic. I think it turned out nice : }
