GAUGE:

12 dc + 9 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

NOTES:

To help keep Throw square, join yarn in a different corner each time color is changed.

Brilliant Colors Baby Throw Reviewed by Terry Colson on 2013-02-11 *****
I have made eight of these throws form my grandchildren and great neices and nephews. It is a wonderful pattern and comes out looking different each time you vary the color choices. I make mine larger than the pattern, about 50X50, so the children can use them as toddlers. So easy and so beautiful! Terry, Dallas
