STITCH EXPLANATION: | sc2tog (sc dec) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook. |

SCRUBBIE
Note: Each Scrubbie uses 2 colors. Yarn amounts are sufficient for multiple Scrubbies.
With color of your choice, ch 3. Join with sl st to form a ring. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), work 11 dc into ring – 12 sts.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 24 sts.
Fasten off. Join color of your choice with sl st in any st of last rnd. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around – 36 sts.
Rnds 4-6: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each st around.
Rnd 8: Rept Rnd 4.
Rnd 9: *Sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog; rep from * around – 30 sts.
Rnd 10: *Sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog; rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnd 11: *Sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog; rep from * around – 18 sts.
Fasten off.
HANDLE
With color of your choice, ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
Rep Row 2 until piece measures about 1 in. (2.5 cm) from beg.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Insert scrubbie into Cover. Sew short ends of Handle to opposite sides of opening of Cover. Leave opening un-sewn for easy replacement of scrubbie. Weave in ends. |

Very cute and easy to make. I've made a dozen of these to go with matching dishcloths for gifts and everyone loves them! I've had to make extras. Yet I don't really like using them myself!
