ENVELOPE With A or B, ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 25 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 8 in. (20.5 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off.
FINISHING Bring 3 corners together at center to make Envelope. Sew corners and seams.
Edging With wrong side facing, join contrast color A or B at edge of Envelope ‘flap’. Slip st evenly along flap.
Next Row: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

Love this pattern. So simple and easy to use. It's such a basic pattern which can be embellished and used in so many ways. I crocheted one using the same color throughout and instead of the single crochet I gave it a picot edging. Turned out quite pretty.
