Valentine Envelopes

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® Baby

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

ENVELOPE
With A or B, ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 25 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 8 in. (20.5 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Bring 3 corners together at center to make Envelope. Sew corners and seams.
Edging
With wrong side facing, join contrast color A or B at edge of Envelope ‘flap’. Slip st evenly along flap.
Next Row: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

Made one of these for my husband and put Valentine candy inside. He suggested we save it from year to year and exchange it back and forth. It turned out so well that I am making another one for my cousin's birthday gifts. Great for gift certificates!
Goes fast; very easy.
