BODY

With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around – 12 sts.
Rnds 3 -6: Sc in each st around.
Following package directions, attach safety eyes.
Rnd 7: *Sc2tog, rep from * around – 6 sts
Rnd 8: Work 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sts.
Rnd 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnds 10 -11: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 12: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around – 12 sts.
Rnd 13: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts.
Rnd 14: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 24 sts.
Rnds 15 -17: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 18: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 18 sts. Stuff piece firmly.
Rnd 19: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around – 12 sts.
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, rep from * around – 6 sts.
Fasten off.
HAT
With B, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 6 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around – 8 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around – 10 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around – 12 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around – 14 sts.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around – 16 sts.
Fasten off.
POMPOM
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.
SCARF
With C, ch 31.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.
Row 2: Ch1, turn. Sc in each st across.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew pompom to top of Hat, sew Hat to head. With black yarn, embroider a straight st smile. Tie scarf around neck. Knot a length of A to top of Hat for hanging loop.
Weave in ends.
