FINISHING
Apply a small amount of glue to one area of dowel. Wind E around glued area. Continue to apply glue and wrap with E until both dowels have been wrapped. Cross dowels at their centers (forming a +) and glue together. Allow to dry.
Hanging loop:
Cut a 36 in. (91.5 cm) length of E. Fold length in half and tie a knot about 6 in. (15 cm) from fold to make a hanging loop. Wrap ends of E length around crossed dowels to secure. Knot ends, then glue beneath the dowels. Trim yarn ends after glue is dry.
Attach Seaweed
Note: Hang the mobile before attaching the pieces to ensure that the mobile remains balanced as the pieces are attached.
Wrap long tails of Seaweed around dowels about 2 in. (5 cm) from crossed center of dowels. Knot ends, then glue beneath the dowels. Trim yarn ends after glue is dry.
Attach Fish
Thread an 18 in. (45.5 cm) length of monofilament through center back of each Fish and knot. Knot opposite end of monofilament to dowel, about 1 in. (2.5 cm) from end. Attach the center Fish first, then the Fish at the ends of the dowels. Knot ends, then glue beneath the dowels. Trim thread ends after glue is dry.

| @ Samantha RE: hook size, it is hard to see, but the hook size is listed near bottom of materials list (size G). This was fun to make, I made a "test" fish and stuffed it with fiberfill and catnip for my kitty, he loved it. I also added eyes using white yarn, same weight as for the fish: ch 2, sc 6 in second ch from hook, sl st to close, then made a french knot with the stripe color of each fish for the pupil, and then sewed them on with white yarn. I also added a very small eye hook for hanging to the top dowel. I made a pilot hole with an awl and then screwed the hook in. Thank you for a fun pattern, I'm boxing it up to mail today, I hope they like it.
