Child's Chevron Throw

GAUGE:

13 sts + 6 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

dc3tog (dc decrease 2 sts) Yarn over, insert hook into st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. (Yarn over, insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through 2 loops) twice, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.

COLOR SEQUENCE *Work 2 rows each with A, B, C, D, E, F; rep from * for Color Sequence.

NOTES:

To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Fasten off old color.

AFGHAN
With A, ch 123.
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook, *dc in next 3 ch, dc3tog, dc in next 3 ch, 3 dc in next ch; rep from * 10 more times, dc in next 3 ch, dc3tog, dc in next 3 ch, 2 dc in last ch – 12 ripples.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in first dc, *dc in next 3 dc, dc3tog, dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; rep from * 10 more times, dc in next 3 dc, dc3tog, dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in top of turning ch.
Continuing in Color Sequence, rep Row 2 for a total of 60 rows.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

This pattern is very easy to follow. I was easily able to add extra chains to make it wider and extra rows to make it longer. This is my first blanket and my first ripple pattern, and it was so easy. I recommend this pattern to any beginner!
