Color Sequence 1: Work Rnds 1–3 with A, Rnds 4 and 5 with B, and Rnds 6 and 7 with C.
Color Sequence 2: Work Rnds 1–3 with C, Rnds 4 and 5 with A, and Rnds 6 and 7 with B.
Color Sequence 3: Work Rnds 1–3 with B, Rnds 4 and 5 with A, and Rnds 6 and 7 with C.
Color Sequence 4: Work Rnds 1–3 with C, Rnds 4 and 5 with B, and Rnds 6 and 7 with A.
Color Sequence 5: Work Rnds 1–3 with A, Rnds 4 and 5 with C, and Rnds 6 and 7 with B.
MOTIF (make 9 – 2 each in Color Sequences 1, 2, 3, and 4; 1 in Color Sequence 5)
Ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, work 8 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 2, (sc in next sc, ch 2) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc – 8 sc, and 8 ch-2 sps.
Rnd 3: (Sl st, ch 1, sc) in first ch-2 sp, ch 3, (sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc – 8 sc, and 8 ch-3 sps. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: With RS facing, join next color with sc in any ch-3 sp, ch 4, (sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 4) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc – 8 sc, and 8 ch-4 sps.
Rnd 5: (Sl st, ch 1, sc) in first ch-4 sp, 5 dc in next sc (shell made), (sc in next ch-4 sp, 5 dc in next sc) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc – 8 sc, and 8 5-dc shells. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: With RS facing, join next color with sc in center dc of any 5-dc shell, ch 7, (sc in center dc of next 5-dc shell, ch 7) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc – 8 sc, and 8 ch-7 sp.
Rnd 7: (Sl st, ch 1, sc) in first ch-7 sp, ch 1, 7 tr in next sc, ch 1, (sc in next ch-7 sp, ch 1, 7 tr in next sc, ch 1) 7 times; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew Motifs together into a strip, in the following Color Sequence order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Weave in ends.
