GAUGE:
6 (sc, ch-3 sp) + 12 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Ch-3 Mesh pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Child's Glam Sweater Reviewed by Louisa Grubb on 2011-02-28
I made 2 of these sweaters for my grandnieces for Christmas and will make one more for my granddaughter. It takes a while and you have to pay attention to what you're doing, but it's not hard and the results are worth it. I really do hate sewing pieces together, though. Maybe I'll try to figure out how to crochet it as a unit.
